Kathua Case: NC’s Bandipora Wing demand capital punishment for culprits.
National Conference’s (NC) Bandipora Wing Thursday demanded capital punishment for the culprits of eight-year-old Kathua girl, who was raped and murdered inside a temple by the gang of eight Hindus in Rasana, Kathua in January.
The protesting workers appealed people not to politicise the issue and demand impartial investigation into the incident.
The protest rally was led by senior NC leader and former legislature Ghulam Rasool Mir Naz.
Naz said that it took three months for the President and Prime Minister of Indian to speak about the heinous crime which shook the entire world.
He appealed to the government to deliver justice to the victim.
He said that, “No one should be allowed to politicise the issue.”
The rape and murder of eight-year-old Bakerwal girl, who was raped inside a temple, has created a humongous controversy in the state.
Choudhary Lal Singh has said that he attended the rally on party’s instructions.
“I and my colleague Chander Prakash Ganga attended Hindu Ekta Manch rally on the instructions of party president Sat Sharma,” Lal Singh told Rising Kashmir
The Jammu Bar Association also backed the pro-rapist rally and backed the rapist.
The child was kidnapped on January 10. Over the next week, she was drugged, starved, repeatedly gangraped and then murdered.
It has been alleged that the crime was committed to warn off the Muslim nomadic community away from the areas belonging to Hindus.
A group of 49 retired civil servants wrote an open letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, holding him responsible for what they called a “terrifying state of affairs.”
